Privacy policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
CamPlay (“we”, “us”) provides free, motion-controlled browser games at https://camplay.fit. This policy explains what data we handle, what stays on your device, and the choices you have.
Your camera: everything stays on your device
Pose tracking runs entirely in your browser using an on-device machine learning model. Your camera feed is processed locally, frame by frame, to detect body movement. No video, images, or camera frames are ever recorded, stored, or sent to our servers or anyone else. Only abstract gameplay results (like your score or estimated calories) leave your device, and only in the situations described below.
What we collect
Account information. Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo through Firebase Authentication. Without an account you can still play; we assign a random guest name stored only in your browser.
Gameplay data. Scores, estimated calories burned, session duration, and per-game stats are saved to your profile so leaderboards and your stats page work. Leaderboard entries (display name, photo, score, calories) are publicly visible. If you enter your body weight to improve calorie estimates, it is kept in your browser’s local storage and, if signed in, in your profile.
Multiplayer. When you join a race or party room we share your display name, live progress, and presence with other players in that room for the duration of the match.
Shared runs. If you tap “Share” after a run, a public share page is created containing your display name, photo, score, and calories. Anyone with the link can view it.
Feedback. Messages you send through the feedback page are stored with your account or guest identity so we can read and act on them.
Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics (via Firebase) to understand aggregate usage — pages visited, games played, device type. This helps us improve the games.
Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense on content pages (never during gameplay). Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — where you consent — to personalize them. You can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time via the consent prompt.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage for preferences that never leave your device (guest name, weight, camera layout). Firebase Authentication uses cookies/storage to keep you signed in. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies as described above.
Data retention and deletion
Profile and gameplay data are kept while your account exists. To delete your account and associated data, or to ask any privacy question, contact us through the feedback page and we will handle it promptly.
Children
CamPlay is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date.
